Yusuf Umar Abdullah is an 11-year-old boy who knows nothing about his parents — only pain and servitude. But everything changes when a girl comes to the doorstep of Yusuf's house, and he is taken to the Light Bright Association School, where he not only makes long-lasting friends, but also finds a mystery hidden in the shadows of the trees…
There, Yusuf learns he is the Balancer of Magic — heir of Al-Hida — and that the villain Minso will stop at nothing to tip the balance of magic forever. To face what is coming, he will need loyal friends, a brave heart, and every spell he can learn.
